Settings

The Settings page is where users can configure various aspects of their Copile experience, divided into four key panels: Exchanges, API Settings, Traders, and Trader Settings.

EXCHANGES

In this section, users can choose the cryptocurrency exchange where they'd like to add API keys. Once an exchange is selected, the API Settings panel will update accordingly, enabling users to insert or remove API keys for that specific exchange.

API SETTINGS

This panel allows users to configure their API settings based on the exchange they've selected in the Exchanges panel. For instance, if ByBit is chosen, this is where users would enter or delete their ByBit API keys.

TRADERS

Here, users have granular control over each trader within their purchased plan. When a trader is selected, the trader settings will dynamically update to showcase the respective settings and configuration.

TRADER SETTINGS

After an API key has been entered, users can configure their trader settings here, and it's highly recommended to do so immediately. Failing to configure these settings will result in Copile not functioning properly. Two essential configurations must be made:

  1. Enabled / Disabled: Users can enable or disable each individual trader. If x trader is disabled, the user will not receive any automated trades from x trader.

  2. Preferred Exchange: Users can select their go-to exchange from a dropdown list featuring all exchanges for which they've set up API keys. Copile will execute trades only on the selected preferred exchange.

  3. Position Size Modes: During our beta stages, users have two options for determining the size of their positions:

  • Margin Mode: With this setting, users specify a fixed margin (e.g., 50 USDT) that will be used for every trade.

  • Percent Mode: This mode calculates the position size as a percentage of the user's total available balance, making it a dynamic option that adjusts with account growth.

Users have granular control over each trader. This means users are able to fine tune their settings based on different trading styles each individual trader may employ. Should a user want trades from all traders executed, they would need enable and configure each trader.

SOCIALS

Users can select which social media they'd like to receive notifications on. These notifications will provide updates such as newly opened trades, actions taken on a trade etc...

NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

Here you can connect the selected social. Depending on which was selected, this will allow you to connect your discord to our notifications bot, or it will redirect you to our Telegram bot setup.

Users must be in our discord server to receive notifications from our Discord bot.

In many cases a user should enable all traders and configure each trader the same way, we recommend all enabled, using anything from 1% to 25% margin. This configuration would execute trades from all traders, using 1%-25% of your available portfolio for each trade.

Any individual trade should not be risking more than 5% of your portfolio. This means if we enter a trade and our stop loss hits, no more than 5% of your portfolio should be lost to that trade. This is why we recommend a low percentage of portfolio used for each trade, because with the risk management strategies employed by the traders, its likely your trades will fall into this risk management rule of thumb.

We also highly recommend users setup Discord notifications. This simply involves connecting your discord as mentioned above. No further notification configuration is required.
